Trying Tik Tok Recipes: DEEP FRIED Candy?!

If you thought I was finally doing a healthy recipe today, I’m sorry, but you were mistaken. Sometimes when you wanna eat your feelings, candy just isn’t enough. And when it’s not enough, you take some chocolate, roll it into some dough, and you deep fry it.

However, we’re going to take a step back from deep-frying it by using our trusty air fryer. So not quite as unhealthy but still gets the job done. So this isn’t exactly a Deep Fried Recipe; it is more like an Air Fried Candy Recipe.

Feel free to deep fry if you want…

These Deep Fried Candy take the form of chocolate croissants. Buttery on the outside and gooey chocolatey goodness on the inside. They are as much fun to make as they are to eat. With the air fryer, they take less than 20 minutes.

The fun part is, you can try as many chocolate brands as you like. It is sooo flexible. After a few tries, you would figure out the chocolates that melt better and stick to them in the future. Of all the brands I used, I found that Snickers melted better, but they all tasted great.

EQUIPMENT

  • Air fryer
  • Cooking oil spray
  • Pastry brush
  • Microwave
  • Spoon
  • Cutting board

INGREDIENTS

  • Grands! Crescent rolls
  • 1 bar of Twix
  • 1 bar of Milky Way
  • 1 bar of Snickers
  • 1 stick of Butter, melted

For the Sauce:

  • 1 spoonful of Confectioners (powdered) sugar
  • Ghirardelli Chocolate premium sauce
  • Whipped cream

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Open the crescent roll packaging and unfold up to 5 rolls (or more if you’d like).
  2. Cut your chocolate bars into cubes.
  3. Place a cube or two of the chocolates on the wide edge of the crescent rolls, roll it up into the thinner edge, and tuck the sides in to hide the chocolates. Make sure you cover it tightly and leave no hole uncovered. Continue till you have exhausted your chocolates.
  4. Melt the butter in the microwave for a minute.
  5. Grease your air fryer basket with cooking oil spray to prevent the rolls from sticking. Place the candy rolls in the basket and brush them with the melted butter.
  6. Set the air fryer on 370 degrees for 6 minutes and let it do its job.
  7. Time to make the dipping sauce. In a sauce bowl, add a spoonful of sugar. In another sauce bowl, pour in your chocolate sauce. Put some whipped cream in another sauce bowl.
  8. Once the chocolate-filled crescent rolls are ready and golden brown, cut the rolls in half to expose the melted candy and top with all 3 of your sauces. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. So, I just thought to let you know that the snicker bars melt better and that you can use chocolate chips if you want.
