Attempting Tiktok Halloween Recipes: Pumpkin Oreo Treats!

I’m super excited about the holidays! Halloween is just by the corner, and even though a lot of us can’t go out Trick-or-Treating (we are too old for that anyway) because the Coronavirus is still a thing, here’s a fun Pumpkin Oreo Treats recipe that’ll please the entire family.

If you have kids, it’ll be fun to make these treats with them.

The Pumpkin Oreo Treats are pretty easy to make, and you probably have all the ingredients ready to go. You only need America’s favorite cookie, Oreo, Reese’s peanut buttercups (Check out this homemade recipe), green M&Ms, orange food coloring, and white chocolate… My nickname in High school.

The combination is crazy! Oreos and Reese’s dipped in white chocolate is like Candy Heaven. And, these treats look anything but spooky; they are only Halloween-inspired because they look just like Pumpkins.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Melt the white chocolate on medium-low heat and stir until it melts completely.
  2. Once the chocolate is melted, add in a few drops of orange food coloring and fold it in. Check if the color resembles a pumpkin, and if it does not, add in a few more drops of coloring and stir.
  3. Now, take off the top of the Oreo cookies and replace it with Reese’s peanut buttercup.
  4. Place each Cookie + buttercup on a spider strainer skimmer (or a fork) and dip it into the colored chocolate. And, carefully place them on a parchment-lined tray.
  5. Cut a green M&M in half and place each half close to each other at the edge of a coated Cookie + buttercup.
  6. Cut a pecan in half and place one half in the middle of the M&Ms to resemble a pumpkin stalk.
  7. Now, use a plastic knife to draw some straight lines on all the Pumpkin Oreo treats.
  8. Place the treats in the freezer for an hour. And that’s it! Your delicious treats would come out looking just like pumpkins.
